16 Apr 1996 - Johan Museeuw wins Paris-Roubaix. Johan Museeuw is a monumental cyclist. He was born in Flanders, near the coast, on October 13th, 1965.
18 Apr 1951 - Belgium signs the Treaty of Paris which creates European Community of Coal and Steel (CECA).
20 Apr 1899 – The automobile driver Camille Jenatzy reaches the 100 km/h mark aboard an electrical propelled car named "Jamais contente" (Never content)!
22 Apr 1915 - The first time toxic gases are used in warfare. A yellowish-green cloud of chlorine gas crept towards the allied trenches at Steenstrate. Canadian and Frech soldiers were the first victims
25 Apr 1924 - Inauguration of a ferry-boat linking Zeebrugge to Harwich.
